WhatIfSports is a truly fantastic and unique fantasy sports software. A lot of these games are straight-up simulation leagues – you can draft any player from now to way back when (in SimLeague Baseball, clear back to the year 1885). Since the “sim” leagues of WhatIfSports are played with any players you want from any team throughout the history of the professionals sport these simulations are slightly different from what is normally considered fantasy games. However, for the true fantasy sports fanatic, this style of play and endless combinations of possibility is a dream come true.
WhatIfSports fantasy sports software features dynasty league games for the sports of football (college and pro), basketball (college and pro), soccer and auto racing. SimLeagues are offered for baseball, football, basketball and hockey.
Gridiron Dynasty is a college football game where you are the coach and are responsible for bringing in recruits within a budget. You can create practice plans, game plans and depth charts whilst competing against hundreds of other coaches with the same winning aspirations. Recruiting is how you fill your roster in Gridiron Dynasty (as opposed to the professional draft). If you’re new to WhatIfSports games, you can play Gridiron Dynasty for a budget-friendly $4.95 (a $6 value).
Hardball Dynasty is the baseball equivalent to Gridiron Dynasty. Hardball is a three-month season for $14.95 and you can create or join a league within this enveloping world of owning and operating your own fantasy baseball team. With 162 regular season games plus the playoffs, Hardball Dynasty can definitely take the edge off the long, boring winter when MLB isn’t in season.
Hoops Dynasty (college basketball), FC Dynasty (soccer) and Clutch Racing Dynasty offer the same type of play on a smaller, but still engaging scale.
In SimLeague Basketball you operate as GM and coach. You can draft any player from 1951-now to play an 82-game/40-ish-days sim season for the $4.95 first season introductory rate or $9.95 for the regular rate. League types are open (default rules) or theme (user-created rules). Each game has a box score packed with stats and a comprehensive play-by-play. Prizes include Reward Points that can be used in the WhatIfSports Reward Center.
Gridiron Dynasty games offers an informative Offense and Defense 101 illustrating the most basic plays on which all offense and defense schemes are built. This allows the football fanatic who knows a lot about stats and maybe not much about the technical side of playmaking to learn the ways.
You can play your games live in SimLeague Baseball.
Most of the WhatIfSports games feature a free trial period or discounted trial period.
